Karina’s teaching philosophy emphasizes building a strong technical foundation while inspiring creativity, confidence. Karina believes every student has the potential to grow, and she works to make lessons both encouraging and challenging so that music becomes a lifelong joy.

Every lesson balances structure with creativity. Students will:

  • Build a strong musical foundation of proper technique and musicality

  • Develop rhythm, ear training, and sight-reading

  • Explore solo repertoire, orchestral music, and chamber works

  • Build confidence through regular performances and recitals

  • Learn to challenge themselves for continues growth

What to expect in lessons

Students from KSim Violin studio have:

  • Won awards in the Crescendo International Competition, Little Mozart Competition, and International Youth Music Competition

  • Been accepted into ensembles such as the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra, Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra, Denton Youth Orchestra, and Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra

  • Earned spots in All-Region and All-State Orchestras

  • Received scholarships to pursue music at the college level
